The dog training strategies that work on kids

Quartz interviewed Stanley Coren, a UBC professor emeritus of psychology, for a story on the dog training techniques that would work for human children ages two to two-and-a-half.

“This works both emotionally and cognitively, so the techniques that will work for a two- or three-year-old child will work for a dog and vice versa,” he said.

Positive reinforcement and modelling good behaviour are some of the suggested strategies.
