BC Business published a profile on Santa Ono who will be officially inaugurated as UBC’s president later in November.
Ono has promised to lead the university to create a new strategic plan and said the board expects him to take the university to a new place, and he is planning to do that.
“One thing that is really clear about him already is that he really means it when he says faculty are important to the university,” said Mark Mac Lean, the president of the UBC Faculty Association.
