Radio Canada highlighted research by Rebecca Tyson, a professor of mathematics at UBC’s Okanagan campus, which focused on the link between climate change and the extinction of some species.
Tyson said that “just by increasing the length of the summer relative to the lengths of the winter, a previously stable predator-prey relationship could become unstable — driving one species extinct.”
