CRA recovers over $240M from B.C. and Ontario housing audit

Canadian Real Estate Magazine quoted Paul Kershaw, a UBC professor in the school of population and public health, in a story about real estate tax audits.

He said the proliferation of illicit financial activity was the ideal opportunity for the government to resolve B.C.’s housing issues.

“The anger and frustration is coming together in constructive ways to entice all political parties left, right and centre to say homes first has to be the principle around which they organize their platform heading into the next provincial election,” Kershaw said.
