Mediation between UBC and former student fails

The Globe and Mail published a Canadian Press story on a failed mediation between a former UBC student and the university.

The mediation is related to the student’s complaint with the BC Human Rights Tribunal, alleging the school discriminated in handling a number of sexual assault reports.

Sara-Jane Finlay, UBC’s associate vice-president of equity and inclusion, said the university participated in the meeting but cannot comment on what took place due to ongoing legal proceedings.

The story also appeared in the National Post, CBCCTV, Global BCCKNWVancouver Sun, The Province, Castanet, and Roundhouse Radio.
