B.C. baseball ‘entering a golden age,’ say officials

The Province quoted Terry McKaig, director of baseball for the UBC Thunderbirds program, in a story about the growth of baseball in B.C.

McKaig said $5 million of the necessary $9 million needed to build a new baseball stadium on campus has been raised through donors. The sport is surging with the success of the Toronto Blue Jays and other local teams.

“The timing couldn’t be better for selling baseball,” he said.

The story also appeared in the Regina Leader-Post.
