UBC was mentioned in a Vancouver Courier article on the complications of dealing with drug culture and the associated stigmas.
The article mentioned the recent Vancouver Sun report that no free Naloxone kits offered by UBC since last spring had been claimed, despite the fentanyl crisis in B.C. This has been attributed to the fact that students do not want drug use information to be included in their health records.
