24 Hours Vancouver mentioned UBC in a story on the need for more student housing.
The article quoted the chair of the Alliance of BC Students saying new student housing has only been built at UBC in the past decade.
The Alliance wants the provincial government to cover 10 per cent of the initial costs of new housing until post-secondary institutions have the ability to take on debt, also a stipulation in the group’s proposal.
