UBC India research centre sees potential role in trade ties

The Vancouver Sun reported on UBC scholars who say academia is a promising channel to increase bilateral ties between Canada and India.

Mandakranta Bose, director of UBC’s Centre for India and South Asia Research (CISAR) said she has notice more interest in South Asian studies in the last year.

“In the past few years, we’ve been able to show (CISAR) as a hub for anything and everything that has happened in our relations with India and other neighbouring countries,” Bose said.
