More sex assault cases under review amid controversy

CTV published a Canadian Press story quoting Emma Cunliffe, a UBC law professor, on the issue of training professionals in the Canadian justice system.

The conversation comes as Justice Robin Camp recently underwent a disciplinary hearing for his mishandling of a rape case in 2014.

“My inclination is that the best system is one which begins with very thorough training and then, if mistakes occur, those mistakes are taken seriously and addressed in a way that is public and transparent,” she said.
