Climate change video game

CBC featured a video game designed at UBC that is based on the premise that the government ignored climate change and led to a dystopian wasteland in Delta, B.C.

Alicia LaValle, the project manager of the game Future Delta 2.0 and a staff member in the Faculty of Forestry, discussed the experience of playing the virtual game.

“You have the opportunity to go back and change the future,” she said. “You learn about climate change causes, impacts, mitigation and adaptation.”
