UBC economics professor John Janmaat has developed an approach to modelling land use change that could help different towns coordinate their planning better, report Castanet and Kelowna Capital News.
Janmaat’s approach amplifies existing computer planning models so that planners can consider how their neighbouring cities use land as they plan their own communities.
