Should taxpayers subsidize private school funding?

UBC professor of public health Farah Schroff weighed in on whether B.C. taxpayers should subsidize private school funding on CBC Radio’s Early Edition.

Schroff, vice president of the B.C. Confederation of Parent Advisory Councils, said student enrollment in the province has rebounded and went up by 10,000 students between last year and this year. “B.C. is the second worst funded province in Canada on a per capita basis,” said Schroff. “We are now the lowest of the provinces in terms of the percentage of our GDP that we put into education.”
