UBC said Wednesday it would extend consultation on a new sexual assault policy beyond the original deadline of Sept. 30, reports the Globe and Mail.
Sara-Jane Finlay, associate vice-president of equity and inclusion, said the extension will allow the UBC community to reflect on the recommendations submitted by a panel appointed by former interim president Martha Piper. The article goes on to say that UBC president Santa Ono is expected to meet with the panel soon.
