Data analysis and chemical engineering are difficult programs but they pay off, Thomas Lemieux, the director of UBC’s School of Economics, told Metro News.
“The studies may not be as enjoyable but you get compensated with higher salaries,” said Lemieux, adding that for those interested in pure math or physics, taking a few applied courses such as business or economics would boost their salary prospects.
