UBC finds gentler ways to monitor migraines

UBC electrical and computer engineering professor Guy Dumont discussed a new way to monitor migraines on Global BC. The technique uses an amplified EEG to monitor a special brainwave that indicates migraine attacks. According to Dumont, the current gold standard for studying migraines is invasive as it involves placing electrodes on the brain.
