Canadian support for China free-trade deal growing: poll

The Globe and Mail reported on a new poll that shows that 46 per cent of Canadians would support a free trade agreement with China, up from 36 per cent in 2014.

The poll was commissioned by the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada.

“Incrementally, Asia is going to be more and more important…I think [the survey participants] got that right,” said Yves Tiberghien, director of the Institute of Asian Research at UBC and a senior fellow at the APF.
