Medical students get new tool

CTV reported on a touch screen table used for virtual surgery and studying disease at UBC’s medical school.

“What we can do with the anatomy table is take more strategic approach to the understanding of disease and load up images from diseases that we’re covering at the time,” said Dr. Bruce Forster, head of radiology department at UBC’s medical school.

First-year medical students will use the new device along with traditional means of learning dissection and surgery.
