Radio Canada reported on the UBC students who plan to send an autonomous sailboat across the Atlantic Ocean.
The students, members of a UBC robotics team, will send their self-driving boat on a trip from Newfoundland to Ireland.
The article reported that there have been at least 18 other attempts to send autonomous vessels across the ocean but none have made the voyage successfully.
