Sarah Hunt, a UBC First Nations and indigenous studies professor, spoke to CBC’s Early Edition about the inquiry into missing and murdered indigenous women and girls.
“We have to remember that for many families they’ve been talking about this for decades, they’ve been looking for answers, they’ve been going to police and not getting a lot of those answers so this is one mechanism, it’s a way for their stories to be heard,” she said.
