Ontario, Quebec, BC strike wine deal

News 1130 reported on the recent deal that allows B.C. wine to be sold in Ontario and Quebec, and vice versa.

David MacArthur, a professor in UBC’s Land and Food Systems faculty, spoke to News 1130 about the recent crops of B.C. grapes.

“The crop itself looked quite good. They were actually taking some of the excess crops off and the plants themselves looked like they were a little bit on the vigorous side,” he said. “Later on at the end of August and September and if they are going to have an early harvest they might worry about the grapes absorbing more water than they would like.”
