The Globe and Mail reported on research by Karl Aquino, the Richard Poon Professor of Organizations and Society at UBC’s Sauder School of Business, which examined unconscious byproducts of bias.

The research found that those who tend toward an elitist world view are more likely to judge white male researchers as more credible, while people who ascribe to egalitarian belief systems will be more likely to say women or people of colour are more credible researchers.
