CBC News reported on the issue of ’double-ending’ after a Vancouver real estate agent was suspended for representing both a buyer and a seller in a deal.
UBC economics professor Tom Davidoff weighed in on the topic.
“Part of the benefit of a good realtor is that they’ve got a good network,” he said. “Double ending is a tough one because exploiting your network to bring in a buyer isn’t inherently a bad thing. Banning it can get rid of some legitimate transactions.”
