Housing crisis driving away families will hurt employment

UBC economist Tom Davidoff was interviewed for a News 1130 article on the consequences of the housing crisis in Vancouver, particularly the issue of filling jobs as the city becomes more unaffordable.

“People are going to try and make it here, realize they’re not making enough money and leave,” he said.

Davidoff suggested lowering income and sales tax, and raising property taxes to make up for lost revenue.
