Vancouver airport introduces free yoga Fridays

CBC News featured work by a UBC master’s student who put her project into action at the Vancouver International Airport.

Carleigh Oude-Reimerink, who is studying planning, researched and implemented the program of self-guided yoga for passengers before boarding flights. She said the relaxing practice of yoga can help ease travel anxiety.

“A significant number of people have a fear of flying and that gets heightened around security checkpoints,” she said.
