Sidoo among 16 civic leaders to be appointed to Order of B.C.

The Indo-Canadian Voice reported on UBC alumnus David Sidoo, who will be appointed to the Order of British Columbia, the highest form of recognition in B.C.

He was the first person of Indian descent to play professional football. Sidoo led the UBC Thunderbirds to an undefeated season and first-ever Vanier Cup national championship in 1982. He went on to play five years in the Canadian Football League for the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
