RCMP investigate sex-assault allegations against SFU student

A Canadian Press story in the Globe and Mail about six assault allegations against a male Simon Fraser University student mentions UBC’s draft sex assault policy.

UBC unveiled its draft sexual assault policy after female students alleged in November 2015 that the school delayed acting on numerous complaints about a male PhD candidate.

Sara-Jane Finlay, UBC’s associate vice-president of equity and inclusion, said the policy could be altered to include a new process for sexual assaults after the public consultation period wraps in the fall.
