Desert race takes team-building to the extreme

The Globe and Mail reported on a group of current and former students of UBC’s international MBA program in Shanghai who completed a three-day footrace this spring.

The journey took place in the Tengger Desert of China’s Inner Mongolia.

“Working in a team is so embedded in business that it’s a natural way to be. But that doesn’t mean that we’re naturally good at it. It’s a skill that you have to learn,” said Liz Starbuck Greer, assistant dean at UBC’s Sauder School of Business’ Robert H. Lee Graduate School.
