Amid the soaring Metro Vancouver housing prices, a story on the Globe and Mail highlighted work by Paul Kershaw, the UBC professor who founded the Generation Squeeze campaign.
Kershaw suggests a policy where your tax burden is connected to the equity you have in your home rather than the market value.
“I call it housing-wealth taxation, not property taxation,” Kershaw said.
