Lack of affordable Lower Mainland housing widespread

Housing affordability is a city-wide problem in Vancouver, and not exclusive to a select few neighbourhoods, said UBC policy professor Paul Kershaw, in a Globe and Mail article.

“Housing affordability has [been] stretched everywhere,” said Kershaw, founder of Generation Squeeze, a lobby group for young Canadians. The group released a report that found a lack of suitable homes for young families under $500,000 in B.C.’s Lower Mainland.
