A UBC study has found that racial issues are still an issue particularly in U.S. cities like Chicago, Castanet reports.
UBC Okanagan sociology professor Bonar Buffam studied a community blog, court records and mainstream media in a gentrifying Chicago neighbourhood for four years.
“It was interesting to see how many residents expressed safety concerns about their neighbourhood in writing and through digital imagery,” said Buffam.
