Controversial project in Vancouver’s Chinatown revised

A controversial development proposed for 105 Keefer in Chinatown was discussed in a Vancouver Sun article.

UBC history professor Henry Yu is critical of a new proposal submitted by the developer, which sets out a slightly smaller project with 119 market condos, down from 134 submitted in 2014.

“They’ve changed architecturally some elements….But I think the core problem that they’ve faced in the previous proposal has not been addressed: the idea of how this fits in with the surrounding area as a kind of core heart of Chinatown.”
