Could assisted dying lighten the load on palliative care?

Palliative care needs to be more accessible in Canada, and integrated better with end of life care, said UBC nursing professor Paddy Rodney, on CBC Early Edition (segment starts at 02:11:17).

“Physician-assisted death is an important option. I believe that there are people for whom that is crucial, but it’s not really a choice if there’s not other good options available like really healthy and extensive palliative care choices.”
