Valeant’s ‘female Viagra’ sales team axed amid low demand

Valeant Pharmaceuticals has terminated its external sales team for its libido-enhancing drug for women due to poor demand for the medication, reports the Toronto Star.

UBC professor Lori Brotto says the news isn’t surprising.

“There are so many reasons why this is a poor medication,” said Brotto. “Its efficacy is really quite marginal compared to a placebo group.”
