Time to provide dental care to low-income patients: UBC prof

Vancouver Metro News highlighted new UBC research that shows the oral health of low-income groups is worse than reported in previous health surveys. Researcher Annette Browne said this is unlikely to change anytime soon because Canada’s public health care system doesn’t provide dental benefits. Most people who do have dental care can afford it because they use third-party employer insurance plans.
