A UBC engineer has launched a Kickstarter campaign to introduce a home alarm for the public to connect to the university’s earthquake warning system, CBC Vancouver reported.
“We’re not interested in earning money. We are interested in saving lives and that’s the objective,” said UBC engineer Kent Johansen.
