For drones, the sky’s the limit in B.C.

The use of drones in research, forestry, farming and other industries was the focus of a new article in the Vancouver Sun. According to UBC forest researcher Nicholas Coops, drones can provide very detailed information that helps researchers assess the success of recently replanted forests.

“There is a lot of interest in using drones for that, because (they) work to the advantage of observing small things, and to the advantage of (being able to) go and fly every six months,” said Coops.
