UBC Botanical Garden has received a $1 million donation that will allow it to expand its 12-hectare Asian garden and support more research and educational opportunities, reports the Vancouver Sun, CTV News, Global News, Ottawa Citizen, Times Colonist, Castanet and Kelowna Capital News.
The gift, from the Franklinia Foundation, will nearly double the size of the Asian garden and improve irrigation systems over the next 30 years.
