12 p.m. – Media can film hundreds of UBC students, faculty, staff and alumni spelling out “UBC100” at the square beside the Robert H. Lee Alumni Centre. This is a re-creation of the formation of “UBC” by 1,200 students involved in the Great Trek in 1922 to lobby for the construction of the Point Grey campus. Media can film this from the third floor of the alumni centre. For directions to the filming location, please check in at the media table on the first floor of the alumni centre by 12 p.m.
2 p.m. – Photos and time-lapse video of the UBC100 formation will be available to media at UBC100.ca
Thursday, Oct. 1 – To help commemorate UBC’s Centennial, a high-definition image of UBC’s Point Grey campus taken Sept. 30 at 10:47 a.m. by the Urthecast Deimos-2 satellite will be available at UBC100.ca
