A review of playgrounds in Metro Vancouver has UBC researcher Mariana Brussoni giving high marks to Terra Nova, an innovative play space in Richmond.
Brussoni, who studies childhood development, says good playground has versatile structures that encourage children to be creative.
“One of the things that … research has found is the importance of basically kids being able to put their own stamp on their play, to really extend their imaginations,” Brussoni said.
