On May 11-17, Canada celebrates National Nursing Week to recognize the many contributions of nurses to the health of Canadians.
The University of British Columbia’s nursing school – the oldest university-based nursing program in the Commonwealth – joins the rest of the country in paying tribute to the profession.
“Canada has approximately 408,000 regulated nurses—all of them trained to deliver the best possible care to members of the community,” said school director Suzanne Campbell. “The UBC School of Nursing embraces Nursing Week to honour their contributions as well as celebrate advances in health care delivery, nursing education and research.”
