The Cancer Prevention Centre will now be known as the Centre of Excellence in Cancer Prevention. Led by School of Population and Public Health professor Carolyn Gotay, the Centre is a novel partnership between the Canadian Cancer Society and UBC. The “Centre of Excellence” designation reflects the quality of research undertaken at the centre and its continued commitment to generating evidence-based knowledge.
A tea will be held to celebrate the name change.
