Three UBC programs receive NSERC PromoScience funding

Three UBC-led projects received $51,400 in funding from NSERC’s PromoScience program. The three projects were part of a $3.6 million investment announced March 18 to introduce young Canadians to careers in science-based fields. The program supports community-based science camp and outreach activities for elementary and high-school students.

Niamh Kelly received $11,700 for Creative Science, Jakob Manning received $29,800 for Geering Up Satellite Programming in Kelowna, Prince George and Inner City Vancouver, and Christopher Waltham received $9,900 for the UBC Physics & Astronomy Outreach Program. More information here.
