Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies announces the appointment of Janice Eng to the position of Associate Dean, Funding, effective January 1, 2015. Eng is a professor in the Department of Physical Therapy and director of the Rehabilitation Research Program within UBC’s Faculty of Medicine and the Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute.
She will be responsible for providing academic leadership in graduate student funding, promoting equitable and competitive funding for students, overseeing policy, adjudication, and decision-making for centrally-administered awards and scholarships, liaising with external agencies and donors, promoting student success in award competitions, and supporting programs in their responsibilities related to student financial support.
