Nursing students help in UBC’s annual influenza immunization campaign

In November, over 4,500 students, faculty, and staff received free vaccines in the Vancouver and Okanagan campuses. UBC’s Risk Management department coordinated the campaign, which was supported by over 116 medicine, nursing, and pharmacy students who provided the flu shots supervised by registered nurses and pharmacists. Thirty-five nursing students and several nursing faculty members participated in the UBC immunization campaign. Click here for more information.
