Engineering professor receives Meritorious Achievement Award

James Olson, professor of mechanical engineering and associate dean for research and industrial partnerships at the Faculty of Applied Science, has received the 2014 Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of B.C. Meritorious Achievement Award for his technical and leadership accomplishments in B.C.’s paper and pulp industry.

Olson is currently leading a $2.4 million five-year project in which he is partnering with B.C. Hydro, FPInnovations and major pulp producers across B.C. to reduce energy consumption by 20 per cent. Click here for more information.
