UBC student receives international undergraduate award

UBC student Carly Welham is among 49 undergraduate students to receive the 2014 Undergraduate Awards (UA), which recognize the work of the brightest and most innovative undergraduate students around the world.

Welham won in the Cultural Studies category for her work “Selfies’ vs. ‘Sealfies’: Inuit Subsistence Hunting, Food Insecurity, and Animal Rights.” As the overall winner in this category, Welham’s work will be published in the UA 2014 Academic Journal.
