Faculty profiled in CIHR fall newsletter

The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) is featuring research by UBC’s Teresa Liu-Ambrose and Howard Feldman in their Show Me the Evidence Fall 2014 newsletter. Liu-Ambrose’s research explores the effects of resistance training on cognitive abilities and the progression of dementia. Feldman discusses current research in treating Alzheimer’s disease, including the role of combination therapies, presymptomatic diagnosis and preventive treatment, and pharmacogenomics — customizing drugs to an individual’s genetic profile.
