Engineers in Scrubs undergrads win VCHRI competition

Two UBC Engineers in Scrubs (EiS) undergraduates recently won the 1 Minute 1 Slide contest sponsored by the Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute (VCHRI). Students present their research projects in one minute with a single PowerPoint slide. Justin Lam’s research compared the quality of holes drilled in artificial bone using a hardware-store power drill, surgical drills, and hand drills. Carly Jones’s research focused on developing the correction methodologies for slipped capital femoral epiphysis, an adolescent hip disorder. Click here for more info.
