The annual move-in day is an exciting and emotional event on campus – 4,000 first-year students leave home and begin their university experience. An army of 600 student volunteers and 170 student staff greet students and their families, direct students to their residence, unload cars, carry boxes, and answer a plethora of questions.

UBC houses more students on campus than any other university in Canada. It provides more than 9,400 spaces on its Vancouver campus.
